Why couples choose The Villa
A destination wedding venue that needs no decoration
Most beachfront wedding venues in Costa Rica are resorts — shared pools, other guests walking through your photos, a coordinator managing three weddings that week. The Villa is different. When you book, the entire estate is yours. Your ceremony happens on a private beachfront lawn with the Pacific Ocean behind you. Your wedding party sleeps in six king suites steps from the pool. Your photographer has an empty beach at sunset. There is no other property like this on Costa Rica's central Pacific coast.
What your wedding includes
The venue. The accommodation. The setting.
Beachfront ceremony lawn
A wide, flat lawn directly on the Pacific — no road or barrier between your ceremony and the ocean. Space for up to 100 seated guests with the sunset behind you.
Six king suites
The entire wedding party stays on-site in six ensuite king suites — some opening to the pool, others to the beach lawn. Getting-ready photos with ocean views from every room.
Exclusive private hire
The property is booked to one group at a time. No shared spaces, no other guests, no resort noise. The estate is entirely yours for the duration of your stay.
Infinity pool & jacuzzi
Over 300 square metres of covered outdoor living surrounds the infinity pool and stone jacuzzi. Perfect for the welcome party, the morning after, or simply unwinding between events.
Chef's kitchen & dining
A fully equipped chef's kitchen on the main floor with an 18-foot ceiling and long communal dining table. Host an intimate rehearsal dinner without leaving the property.
Los Almendros next door
An award-winning farm-to-table restaurant steps from The Villa's front gate. A popular choice for reception dining — or simply for feeding guests who arrive early.
"We visited three venues in Costa Rica before finding The Villa. The moment we walked onto the beachfront lawn, we cancelled the other two. Nothing else came close."
Planning your wedding
What you need to know
Costa Rica is one of the most straightforward countries in the world for destination weddings. Here's how it works at The Villa.
Legal requirements. Both civil and symbolic ceremonies are easy to arrange for foreign couples. Many couples complete the legal paperwork at home and hold a symbolic ceremony at The Villa — the simplest option. A local wedding planner can handle all Costa Rican legal requirements if you prefer to make it official on-site.
Best time of year. The dry season (December–April) offers the most reliable weather. The green season (May–November) brings lush landscapes, dramatic sunsets, lower rates, and fewer crowds. Rain in green season typically falls in short afternoon showers — morning ceremonies work beautifully year-round.
Guest accommodation. The Villa sleeps 16 across six suites — ideal for the wedding party. For larger guest lists, Jacó is 15–20 minutes north with hotels and vacation rentals at every price point. We can help coordinate group transport between Jacó and The Villa on the day.
Vendor network. We work with experienced destination wedding planners, photographers, florists, officiants, and caterers on Costa Rica's central Pacific coast. Once you enquire, we'll make introductions to our trusted partners.
